How long does SEO take? How long do you have to wait for results?

There is no single simple formula that would allow to determine how long it takes to position a website on positions that generate traffic – top10, top3, top1. Everything depends on your budget, the current condition, and the authority of the positioned page in relation to the pages of the competition.

We usually give ourselves 3 months to evaluate the SEO effects, although in some cases certain changes can bring an immediate boost in traffic.

Sometimes a page is affected by a filter through the algorithm, and determining such a situation can take time. The indexing of new subpages, the reaction to new links, the degree of indexing of old resources, and the reaction of positions to previous algorithm updates are examined.

During different periods of Google’s operation, one could also observe the so-called sandbox. This was an algorithmic mechanism that limited the SEO capabilities of completely new sites for a period of 12 months.

How to measure the effects of SEO campaigns?

The effectiveness of SEO can be assessed based on typical metrics (positions in Google’s free search results, visibility, organic traffic to your site), as well as the impact on the achievement of business objectives. Much depends on how you define conversions on your website.

Buying a product? Sending a request for proposal? Or maybe just clicking on a phone number? You need to know how to develop your business. We will undertake a series of actions, thanks to which customers will find your site on Google in the top positions generating traffic. It is known that achieving high positions is not everything. Properly selected phrases will allow you to see desired business results.

An intermediate goal may also be to increase the site’s visibility in the search results overall. This will certainly allow you to reach users at different stages of the so-called customer journey, so that finally, after visiting your website, they become customers of your company.

What is more important - UX or SEO?

It’s important to care for the usability of your company’s website or online store and undertake actions related to the optimization of the conversion factor. This is demanded both by Google and common sense. From the same positions, keywords, traffic volume, you can have several times more or fewer customers – it all depends on the usability of the site, pricing policy, persuasion techniques – whether we ultimately inspire trust and are able to convince the customer to make a purchase. Technical issues such as page loading speed or correct display on smartphones also have a huge impact on whether the user will thoroughly familiarize themselves with the offer and consider using it, or quickly leave the page and turn to the offers of the competition.

An SEO audit, although it increases the initial costs of the project, is an indispensable stage of the SEO process. Moreover – it is carried out primarily in your interest. Thanks to this, the money spent on search engine marketing in a subscription that comes down to acquiring links and/or expanding content, will translate into measurable results.

This way, we will not overlook e.g. significant technical errors causing problems with crawling or indexing, we will not miss errors in mobile display, we will not ignore signals that something may be wrong in the evaluation of the site from Google’s perspective.
